I clicked the backup button but nothing happens. Make sure the "Backup_File" folder is on the desktop. If the folder is any where else the utility will not backup or restore.

The Backup just keeps running. If you are backing up iMove, iPhoto and iTunes it may take some time to complete. I have had iTunes take up to 30 minutes due to the number of music files. As I recall the iTunes file was 4.0GB in size. Just let it run until it is completed its backup.

It will not let me burn to a CD. Your backed up files may be too large. Remember a CD will only hold 700MB of data and iMovie, iTunes, and iPhoto may be to large to burn to a CD. Therefore, you will have to consider an alternative method of storing or transfering the information. Other options include burning to a DVD which will hold 4.3GB of information, a Firewire Drive or Flash drive. You may also consider using the "Target" mode from one computer to another to transfer the information.

How to I "Target" one computer to another? Check Apple's website for recommended procedure.

Not all of my settings for iChat are on my computer after a restore. Even though MBR will backup all the necessare files, you may have to reset some of the preferences for that application. However, the basic information is there after the restore.
